Contacts Overview in Docnote

Learn how to add and manage third-party contacts in Docnote — including lawyers, insurance companies, and pharmacies — for use in service requests.

The Contacts section in Docnote is where your office stores third-party contact information — such as lawyers, insurance companies, pharmacies, and other external recipients. These contacts can then be selected when creating requests that involve a third party, saving time and ensuring accuracy.

How to access Contacts:

Select Contacts from the left-hand menu.

How to add a contact:

  1. Fill out the required contact information.
  2. Select the contact's preferred method of communication — email, fax, or both.
  3. Save the contact to add them to your list.

⚠️ Please note: Docnote does not allow duplicate fax numbers or email addresses. If a contact already exists with the same fax number or email, you will not be able to save a new entry with the same details.
